Homebred coming three year old gelding Shiraz, by Sinatra Song, out of our homebred CWB mare Razamataz. Shiraz was professionally started for 60 days in the late fall of 2011 and will be going back mid March to continue. He shows super schwung and suspension naturally and could go any way you want at this stage as a dressage horse or a hunter/jumper. His dam was trained and shown successfully to PSG and then switched to hunters after Shiraz was foaled. She is currently winning in the 3’6″ hunters at the college level in the USA and going strong at 15 years of age. Shiraz is a carbon copy of his mother with even better movement from his well known sire. Shiraz currently stands 16.1 looks to mature 16.2 or 3. He ships like a pro (I can load him on my own), clips, ties and is well behaved for the farrier. He has a solid foundation on which to build and is ready to be your friend and show horse! Dream and Rain wondering when it is all going to stop!

I managed to get a photo on our ONE snowy day this strange winter–we have no snow on the ground which is a record for this part of the world! And as we head into mid February, it looks to continue dry and mild. We can’t wait to get at clipping our lovely minis although at the moment, the month of May seems a long way off! FarAway Farm’s Ice T is a correct handsome young man! He has perfect manners, picks up his feet for me and the farrier, loads and ships like a pro, clips, bathes and does everything asked of him. Very easy going, he still can show real spark in the show ring. Shown as a weanling in 2010, he made his halter debut at the World Percheron Congress in Iowa. Many spectators commented on how well put together he was and how well he moved. T will stay dark and not likely dapple out till he is approaching five or six. His dam Irish Creek Topaz was shown successfully on the line as a young horse and his sire Irish Creek Cola is the sire of Crawford Farms Hunter a superb black stallion who has made his mark on the tanbark as well as the breeding shed and is a super driving machine!! Ice T could show for you this season in halter and start next year driving or riding. Just a real nice guy to be around! He measured 17 hands on February 1, 2012 (and 17.2 behind)–this boy is heading north of 18 hands! Current on all shots, worming and teeth!
